Warner Bros alongside "Aquaman" director James Wan have announced that Patrick Wilson will play the role of "Orm" more famously known as "Ocean Master" in the original DC Comics. Orm is the antagonist in the film.

As reported by Deadline, Patrick Wilson has already been cast to play the supervillain's role. Prior to that, "Baywatch Hawaii" actor Jason Momoa was already given the lead role.

The site also shared the dynamics between the half-brothers. Orm and Aquaman's relationship is compared as the same, if not more intense, a sibling rivalry observed between Thor and Loki in Marvel's "Thor".

Cinema Blend further revealed that Warner Bros planned to have multiple antagonists in the film "Aquaman", Ocean Master being the second after Black Mantra. However, Orm was cast first.

The film revolves around the sibling rivalry between Orm and Aquaman in pursuit of the throne of Atlantis. Orm, born and raised in Atlantis, expected that the reign will be passed unto him. The conflict arises when Arthur Curry, Aquaman's alter-ego, arrived in Atlantis after years of being raised outside the kingdom.

After knowing about the older brother's existence, Queen Atlanna, both their biological mother, decided to pass the kingship to Aquaman. Believing that Atlantis is better under his ruling, Orm was filled with jealousy and rage, resulting in his rebellious acts against his brother and the kingdom.

Patrick Wilson's famous role was playing Dan Dreiberg in the 2009 film "Watchmen". This was supplemented by two "Conjuring" movies in 2013 and 2016. His new stint in the upcoming movie "Aquaman" would be the third of "Watchmen" actors landing roles in DC films. Jeffrey Dean Morgan appeared in "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and Billy Crudup stars in "The Flash". Could this be the "Watchmen effect"?

At present, four roles have been filled in the most anticipated film of 2018. Aside from Patrick Wilson and Jason Momoa, Amber Heard will play the role of "Mera" and Willem Dafoe will be "Vulko". Fans can hardly wait for other updates and can only look forward to the release.

"Aquaman" movie is set to hit theaters on October 5, 2018.
