Another Paul George trade rumor is headlining the news today. NBA trade rumors have it that he is being packaged in a rumored deal heading to the Detroit Piston. And with recent struggles of the Indiana Pacers, there is recommendation that they should consider of trading George while his value is still high.

George is one of the superstars that is being targeted by numerous teams. Being a high-value player, he's been linked to being traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. But up until now, none of those deal have any progress and just fades away in the news.

Now, NBA trade rumors are spreading that a proposed trade deal between the Pacers and Pistons that involves 5 players and future picks is now on the trading table waiting to be discussed. Trade scenario is suggesting as follows:

1. The Detroit Pistons will acquire Paul George and Monta Ellis from the Pacers;

2. The Indiana Pacers will then receive Tobias Harris, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Stanley Johnson plus Detroit's 2017 unprotected 1st, 2018 2nd and 2019 unprotected 1st draft picks.

Some say that the Piston truly benefits from this trade even though they release several players and future draft picks while not a bad return for the Pacers too. The Piston could finally add a legitimate superstar in George that could lead them to another playoff run this season.

Having the 26-year old George can elevate the status of the Piston to a 'contender' team that would enable them to compete with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors. With a young and talented player like Reggie Jackson (26) and Andre Drummond (23) supporting him, they would create a potent lineup in the East in the coming years.

On the other hand, with some analyst saying that with the current situation of the Pacers, they might not make it to the playoff and will be going on an early rebuild. And though the Pacers didn't acquire any superstar from the deal, many still believe they got solid players who are young and have the potential of being a superstar someday.

The trade deal will also work under the NBA trade rules and salary cap policy and will be considered legal as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine. But will Pacers President of Basketball Operations Larry Bird allow this to happen?

Bird earlier announced that they are committed to signing George to an extension and build the franchise around him however recent interview by ESPN revealed that George is not interested in an extension and expecting to sign a max deal.

With this scenario, is there a possibility that Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George could be heading to the Detroit Pistons? Stay tuned for the latest NBA trade rumors and updates.
