Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's marriage wasn't as good as everyone thought even in their best years.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Brad Pitt was happier with Jennifer Aniston and should have never left her. The bodyguard says that the "Allied" star's previous marriage was a perfect union and that both of them were fully committed to the relationship.

Kris Herzog worked as Pitt's bodyguard during both marriages. He revealed that Pitt's marriage with Aniston was completely free of fighting.

"Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were 100% happy before he met Angelina Jolie," he shared. "I never heard of them fighting, I never heard rumors of cheating. I never heard anything bad between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt before he met Angelina Jolie."

Things drastically changed once Jolie entered into Brad's life. Those two first met while filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith and allegedly had an affair that destroyed his marriage with Jennifer.

Those rumors turned to be true as he has left his wife in 2005 and started dating Jolie shortly afterward. The divorce devastated the Friends star, who had been with Brad for more than five years.

While Brad Pitt's relationship to Aniston was based on love, his marriage with Angelina Jolie cared more about their combined public image. It seems like Jolie tried her best to promote their marriage in Hollywood and wanted to stay in the limelight.

"With Angelina it was a different type of relationship. It was 'we are the most powerful celebrity couple in the world' and that was primarily Angelina pushing the public image," the bodyguard explained.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce on September 16 and the estranged couple is still working out the details of their breakup. The biggest problem here is that Jolie is seeking full custody of their six kids while Pitt is fighting for joint.

Pitt was forced to spend Thanksgiving away from his children. He flew to Turks and Caicos and spent the holiday with a close friend at a villa.

Brad has only visited his children three times since the breakup since Angelina Jolie still retaining physical custody. The actor was struggling to gain a foothold in the custody battle, especially after recent child abuse allegations. He was recently cleared of all charges.
