It's already been revealed that three new characters will be introduced during the second half of AMC's "The Walking Dead." All three new characters  - Rosita, Eugene and Abraham - are from the comic books by Robert Kirkman.

Kirkman, who is also executive producer of the TV show, revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that the characters will differ somewhat from their comic book characters, Wetpaint reports.

"I can say that their introduction will be somewhat similar to how they were introduced in the comic, which I think is a very cool thing," he said.

In the comics, the trio meet up with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the prison group at Hershel's farm after the Governor (David Morrissey) attached the prison. Rick, the prison group and the trio all head to Washington, D.C. together.

"We're going to tell a version of the Eugene, Abraham, and Rosita comic stories, that's what we do," showrunner Scott Gimple told THR.

Kirkman also revealed that the new characters will stick around for a while. Speaking of Rosita, he told SFX in January "We're introducing her into the show in a somewhat different way than in the comics. As we get deeper into Season 4 you start to see some hints as to what we're doing and why we're bringing her in."

So if you need a little refresher about Rosita, Eugene and Abraham's comic book characters, check out their original storylines below:

Eugene

Eugene will have to be watched closely. He claims to be a government scientist who knows how the outbreak started. Of course this seems like crucial information because the person who knows how it started could also help end it, right? We don't spoil it too much so unless you've read the comics, you'll have to wait to see how Eugene's story unfolds. The character will be played by Josh McDermitt.

Rosita

Rosita has been traveling with Eugene since Houston as they try and make it to Washington, D.C. In the comics, her character had a hard time adjusting to life following the zombie outbreak and would often use her physical appearance and do sexual favors for protection. She also starts a relationship with Abraham but it's not clear of this will be her storyline in the TV series. Rosita will be played by Christian Serratos.

Abraham

Like the other two he will also meet up with Rick and his group in the second half when the season returns in February. Abraham is a hot headed character and in the comics who doesn't get along with the group, especially Rick. He and Rick eventually develop a mutual understanding of each other.
