The Golden State Warriors are living up to expectations right now. When they signed the biggest free agent in Kevin Durant last offseason, they became an immediate favorite to win in this year's NBA title despite losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals.

They were called the NBA superteam with four All-Star players in Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green putting their talents together in one team. However, doubts filled all over the league when they got beaten so terribly by the San Antonio Spurs at home on opening night after losing by a wide margin.

But that disastrous meltdown only wakes up a monster team. After that opening humiliation, they experience defeat only once so far this season. They were 13-1 in their last 14 games, winning 9 straight games. At 13-2 win-loss record, they are second in West behind the league-leading Los Angeles Clippers.

But as good as the Warriors now, their weakness is clearly evident as exposed by the Spurs on their opening night match. They still lack a player who could dominate the low post and a rim protector. A player who could control the rebounds and defend the paint.

And one of the most dominant big men in the league right now could be the answer to the Warriors' weakness. Anthony Davis might be that guy that the Warriors is looking for. According to HNGN, it would be better for Davis to play for a more contender team.

Now on its fifth year with the Pelicans, Anthony Davis is averaging 21.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.4 blocks. And he was playing at his best this season as he is averaging 31.3 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.8 blocks. He was second in scoring behind Thunder's superstar Russell Westbrook, eight in rebounds and league leader in blocks, per ESPN.

In exchange for Davis, the Warriors could exchange Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston. Both Iguodala and Livingston will be free agents after this season. Thus, trading them is very possible.

If the Warriors could get Davis' services, the chances of winning a championship will increase. Although the Warriors are the favorite team to win the NBA title, we all know that LeBron James is the most dangerous player when it comes to playoffs.

Last season, the Warriors are also the overwhelming favorite to win the championship. They just had the all-time record for wins in the NBA regular season at 73-9. But James and the Cavs still manage to put up a miracle and delivered the Cavs their first NBA championship.

Aside from that, Davis could grow a lot as a player if he will play for a title contender like the Warriors. His skills would be put into a better use if he will play for a winning team.

Will Anthony Davis be traded to the Golden State Warriors? The chance for this to happen is close to impossible. But years ago, Kevin Durant teaming up with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in Golden State Warriors seemed impossible to happen too. But it happened. Stay tuned for more NBA trade rumors and updates.
