The first month of the NBA has been filled with trade rumors as expected. The teams are just trying to figure out how to win games with their new players. Big time players are just warming up for this new season.

The Golden State Warriors are the hottest team in the league right now as they won 9 straight games. They are averaging a league best 119.2 points per game. Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs are not far behind as the 3 teams combined for a record of 37-7 win-loss record.

The Dallas Mavericks are surprisingly the worst team in the NBA right now. They just lost 7 straight games with the last win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves are also off to a poor start as they have a combined 12-31 win-loss record.

With that being said, teams are starting to make a move especially that December 15 is fast approaching. It was said to be the date of the true opening of NBA trade season.

Here are the updates for the 2 players rumored to be traded as early as December 15.

Deron Williams as a back-up point guard for Kyrie Irving?

The NBA defending champions Cleveland Cavaliers are at the top of the Eastern Conference at 11-2. That's not surprising at all. What is shocking though is the fact that they have this impressive record without a primary backup to All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving.

As a solution, the Cavs use LeBron James as the main ball handler whenever Irving is on the bench. That is the reason why James is averaging 9.3 assists per game and is third in the NBA. But the Cavs need a reliable backup PG for Irving.

And according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, the Cavs is interested to get Dallas Mavericks veteran point guard Deron Williams as a possible backup for Irving. But since Williams signed a contract this offseason, he will be available on December 15.

Williams is part of the struggling Mavs and might be on the trade block. The Cavs have leftover trade exceptions. They can also use a 2017 first-round pick for a possible trade, per bleacher report.

Omri Casspi to be traded by Sacramento Kings?

This season, Omri Casspi has been struggling to fit in with the new system implementing by the Kings under new head coach Dave Joerger. He is averaging 4.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 15.3 minutes.

He struggled to earn major minutes with the Kings as Matt Barnes occupies his spot last season. And although Casspi didn't ask for a trade, giving him away to other teams would be a possibility as further discussed by bleacher report. And the good news is, a lot of teams are interested to acquire Casspi.
