WWE news is starting to spread out like a wildfire after reports surfaced that MMA champion Conor McGregor is set to appear in WrestleMania 33 in January.

But what could be huge than the return of WWE's prodigal son CM Punk?

Punk, who established his name in the world of professional wrestling, was known to be a frank, sarcastic and radical wrestler from the day he entered the WWE. He already portrayed a hero and a villain, being loved or hated by wrestling fans in almost 10 years in the business.

Throughout his tenure in WWE, he helped the company grow and became popular during the "modern era".

But since January 27, 2014, he never showed up at any WWE event for following months. In November of the same year, he announced his retirement and made a promise that he will never be back at WWE again.

Reports are now spreading that he could be returning after WWE express willingness to give him another chance.

According to Sportsrageous, many wrestling enthusiasts are wishing for CM Punk to comeback after his mixed martial arts career is not doing well right now. Rumors claim that his comeback might happen at WrestleMania 33.

The report also said that a British betting site listed him as one of the 10 personalities that would make a surprise appearance during the event in Orlando, Florida and fans are very positive that he will never disappoint them.

YIBADA English reported last October that a possible return of CM Punk to the WWE could happen just what Bill Goldberg did. Just like Punk, Goldberg got into trouble with the WWE management before leaving the company 12 years ago.

But Goldberg is set to fight Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series this coming Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Air Canada Center in Toronto.

Fans believed that it could also happen to CM Punk. Though it may take too long to encourage him to come back, a phone call from Vince McMahon and Triple H might be what Punk is waiting.
