Both the Los Angeles Clippers and the Golden State Warriors are playing tremendously well this season.

Los Angeles Clippers started the season winning their first 3 games before losing a close game to the OKC Thunder. But since then, they won 7 straight games. It looks like the Clippers figured out how to be dominant with their lineup.

Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan are playing at an All-Star level once again this season. J.J. Redick is also improved this season as he average 13.3 points per game. Jamal Crawford and Marreese Speights led the bench with a combined 20.7 points per game.

On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors is also playing great as expected. After a blowout loss at home on opening night to the San Antonio Spurs, many speculated that Durant and the Warriors will have a down season. In the Warriors vocabulary, a down season might mean winning just 50 something games.

But Warriors bounce back once again. They are now 8-1 over their last 9 games. They did this with Klay Thompson still struggling and chemistry, rebounding and defense are still an issue. And with a record of 8-2, the Warriors are trailing behind Los Angeles Clippers atop the Western Conference.

But both teams' starting point guard will be free agents after this season. Because of this, trade rumors arise for the two elite point guards. According to HNGN, Stephen Curry might sign with the Cavaliers if ever they were beaten once again in the NBA Finals by the Cavs.

And if both the Clippers and the Warriors both failed to win an NBA championship this season, perhaps a change should be made. And Curry signing for the Los Angeles Clippers while Chris Paul playing for the Golden State Warriors has a very slim possibility next season.

If Curry will play for the Clippers, he might have more open threes because he will team up with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan who are formidable from the inside. Griffin and Jordan might also benefit from teaming up with Curry.

Curry is known for his three-pointers. Just this season, he hit 13 three-point field goals in a game against the Pelicans, which is an NBA record. Having an outside and inside dominant scorers will certainly get the Clippers to dig deep in the playoffs.

On the other hand, Chris Paul might also fit in with the Warriors. Stephen Curry is a very great point guard. But he is more of a scorer than a passer. And in terms of passing, Chris Paul is expert in that category. He averages 9.9 assists during his career.

Having a pass-first point guard might like Chris Paul might fit more for the Warriors than the scoring point guard like Curry. Chris Paul could feed the ball to great scorers like Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. Aside from that, the Warriors emphasizes on ball movement on offense. And with Paul orchestrating the offense, finding open guys might be easier.

But according to Morning News USA, many analysts believed that Stephen Curry will resign with the Warriors and most likely will end his career as a Warrior. On the other hand, Chris Paul staying with the Los Angeles Clippers after this season is still uncertain.

The scenario that Stephen Curry signing with the Los Angeles Clippers while Chris Paul signing a deal with the Golden State Warriors is close to impossible to happen once they hit free agency after this season. But impossible scenarios in the NBA happen sometimes. Stay tuned for more NBA trade rumors and updates.
