Donald Trump's historic victory in the 2016 U.S. elections is the most-talked-about topic in the media, but somewhere in all this cacophony, Melania Trump has also begun to make her presence felt. People are talking about the would-be first lady and how she would fare in the new role.

Many lady-historians are of the opinion that she would move back to the more traditional role, reports USA Today. According to historian Jean Wahl Harris, Melania would be more comfortable being a traditional social hostess. However, people have more expectations from her and would like her to be in the front row.

So, is she prepared? It does not seem like that because she was hardly visible during the campaigns of Trump and after she made a blunder with her plagiarized speech, it does not seem like she would step up and oblige the expectations in question. However, all is not against her as she might take her time before she takes up a more proactive role.

The good thing is that she might spring a surprise and surpass the expectations. This is because she is smarter than she has been given credit for. Melania was born in Yugoslavia and thus, English is not her native language but she speaks it well. What is more, she is proficient in French, Serbian, German and Slovenian. She has been a successful model in her career and has also studied architecture and design at the Univeristy of Ljubljana in Slovenia.

She has also spoken up about cyber bullying and holds strong views against it, reports People. In fact, she has admitted to having different opinions than Trump. In an interview with CNN, she said that she does not agree with everything that he says but it is normal. She clearly stated that she is her own person and tells him what she thinks.

She wishes that Trump would be more professional and act more presidential. She has also expressed her desire regarding Trump's tweeting and wants him to give it up. These are definitely positive signs for those who want her to be up and coming. The unconventional first lady might create many firsts like her husband.
