Reality stars Michelle and husband Jim Bob Duggar are rumored to be divorcing. The couple has been plagued with divorce rumors for a while now, but this time the reason was reportedly because of the family's financial problem.

Reports claim that the reality family is nowhere near their status before, when TLC's 19 Kids and Counting was still airing. The success from the show had reportedly not surpassed the cancelled series' spinoff Counting On, which is currently airing on the same network.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the family had been struggling since their reality series for seven years had been cancelled mainly because of their eldest son, Josh Duggar's sex scandal and controversies. The incident had caused the family a significant change on their financial status, including loss of promoters and advertisers and an eventual loss of the family's reality series.

Moreover, Michelle Duggar knows very well that with the huge family they have, they can't survive having only little money left in their hands. As one of the head of the Duggar family, she is aware that if they are unable to find an alternative soon, they might end up losing everything they have.

Aside from this, the mother of Duggar family is also reportedly stressing about the fact that her husband is reluctant in acknowledging their money problem. Reports have it that they have had these problems for a while now and while everything seems to be fine on the set of Counting On, the public is not aware that their marriage are slowly crumbling down.

Parent Herald also reported that the series' spinoff Counting On is not getting enough sponsors and support from television advertisements and viewers, unlike the original series. Following this, the source had claimed that the spinoff may face cancellation soon and the family might bid goodbye to the reality series for good, when the network realizes the current situation.
