This New Year, OnePlus 4, iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 are all set to give each other a neck-to-neck fight as buzz about 2017 launches hints at a bonanza year for smartphone lovers.

OnePlus 4, iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 seems to be working hard on their 2017 launches but it is OnePlus, which is designing the most efficient handset, which will feature superior hardware in comparison to Apple's iPhone 8 and Samsung's Galaxy S8, reports The Bitbag. OnePlus 4 will be using a superior 5.5-inch OPTIC AMOLED display along with a 4K resolution in its upcoming phone and it is also expected to have the most advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 processor.

However, the 8GB RAM will steal the limelight as it will give a major boost to the phone's performance. When compared to Apple and Samsung, the former is known for its smaller RAM and for iPhone 8, it is expected to hover around 2 or 3GB. As for Galaxy S8, it would probably stick to 4GB or 6GB.

As for the camera, OnePlus 4 is rumored to have a 23 MP camera and this would definitely pose a challenge to the two competitors. It is also expected to continue with its splendid past performance on the battery front and is likely to come up with a huge 4,200mAh battery.

Meanwhile, speculations are also swirling about Microsoft Surface Phone and it is being said that it might be launched in spring next year along with Windows 10 Redstone 2 update, claims iTech Post. Though the company has not even acknowledged its existence, the stories about the phone are everywhere.

The excitement about iPhone 8 is also high as it would be launched on the tenth anniversary of iPhone. Inside sources claim that the engineers are working very hard on the 2017 model and it is expected to feature many cool innovations. The front, as well as the rear, is rumored to be all-glass. Some also say that its display will be edge-to-edge.

Well, it seems all the smartphone companies are doing their best to lure customers next year and though it is still not clear who will walk away with the winner's trophy, one can be sure of the customer being the winner in every scenario.
