Putlocker, a popular streaming site for films and television series has been down for about a month now. But rumors suggest the site has a new address and it also has several clone sites available.
With Putlocker.is offline for a long duration, fans are becoming concerned for their favorite streaming site and it has left them wondering whether at all the site will be back and if not, will they be able to find a trusted Putlocker alternative?
Currently, users trying to access the site are getting the CloudFlare error message that indicates that the servers have become unresponsive. However, going by the shutdowns and blockings of the top torrent sites, Torrentz, Kickass Torrents and TorrentHound, it seems that this is just another step for the anti-piracy campaign.
Notably, Putlocker has been the most visited site for live video streaming with around 1.6 million visitors, claims Morning Ledger. However, with the live streaming site becoming offline, one is forced to find a Putlocker alternative.
Talking about alternatives, several clone sites are available but before proceeding with an alternative, one needs to check the credibility as only a few are reliable.
According to The Bitbag, there are some sites available that allow video streaming for free. But the news outlet also points out that inspite of a large library; users may not be able to find the latest episodes of TV series.

Notably, the new site not just resembles the original Putlocker site but the functionality is pretty much the same, which fueled expectations of the users. It was also reported that on Nov. 2, Putlocker.is was active and it had the visitors redirected to the new site, Putlocker.ch.
Users are however advised to check the safety and reliability of the new site as well as the Putlocker alternatives.
