San Francisco 49ers left tackle Joe Staley is currently dragged to rumor mills nowadays. After teammates' quarterback Colin Kaepernick and wide receiver Torrey Smith were linked to trade deals just recently, it is the turn of Staley to be in the same spotlight.

The 49ers is struggling as of late holding a 1-6 record after Week 7 and many believe they could miss the playoffs if they will do nothing. That's why the team is looking for ways to turn their fortunes around and trading some players like Staley might be the answer.

According to Niners Nation, the 49ers is willing to trade the 32-year old Staley to other teams who is willing to acquire his services and hoping to get first round pick in return. As the NFL trade deadline is about to expire six days from (November 1), the 49ers must decide if they will continue to stick Staley or trade him away instead.

Many teams have got the attention of Staley including the New York Giants, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, Arizona Cardinals and New England Patriots. But it looks like the Patriots would be the great fit for Staley however there's a problem.

According to Sportsrageous, the Patriots are interested in getting the 5-time Pro Bowler. But they are not willing to let go a first round or a second round pick either to 49ers in exchange for Staley. They think that a draft pick is too much for a veteran like Staley.

Salary could also be an issue as Staley is about to get $5.4 million this season and goes up to $8.25 million next year until 2019. Age is also in consideration now that he's 32 and could only have two or three good years to play as per stated in the report.

But the 49ers organization and coach Chip Kelly have already announced earlier that they will not release Staley and they need him to stay with them. They also clarify that there's been no discussion regarding Staley being traded and never come up in any conversation.
