Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo trade drama still continues. After being rumored to be traded by the team to the Denver Broncos, another speculation has emerged that Romo will be moving to the New York Jets.

After suffering a back injury last August during a preseason game, Romo hasn't played from the start of the season. In lieu to Romo, Cowboys coach Jason Garrett decide to start rookie Dak Prescott in quarterback position leading them to a 5-1 record atop of the NFC division.

Even now that Romo seems to be healthy, coach Garrett hasn't returned his position as the team's starting QB and leaving it to the hands of Prescott to execute the play. And with this kind of situation, it could be a reason for Romo to leave the team for not getting ample playing time.

According to Sportsrageous, if Prescott will impress the Cowboys management and continue to file wins for the team, Romo wearing a Cowboy uniform could be soon over. And Romo being doubtful for Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns, the Cowboys might wait for the offseason to release Romo and this could the opportunity for the Jets to acquire him.

The report also says that the Jets are now having some problem with starting QB Ryan Fitzpatrick leading the team to a 2-5 record just second to last in the AFC division. Though the Jets have a backup QB in Geno Smith, he hasn't proved anything to the team and many think he isn't the answer.

On the separate report by Digital Journal, sending Romo to the Jets could benefit the Cowboys a second-round pick in return. The arrival of Romo to the Jets would ease some burden on the franchise and it could also give them a better chance of winning some more games in able to catch up to other teams.

Moving also Romo to the Jets would clear salary cap issue in Dallas that they could use during the offseason as per stated in the report. As for Jets, though acquiring Romo would also mean getting an aging player, this could be a good risk that could redeem themselves before it's too late.

Will the New York Jets pull off a deal to acquire Tony Romo to the Dallas Cowboys?
