Blake Griffin is involved with a lot of trade rumors last offseason. Actually he is one of the most mentioned names in NBA trade rumor talks. One of the latest rumors about Griffin is a move that will send him to Boston Celtics.

According to YIBADA, Blake Griffin might be a Boston Celtic soon. Since the Celtics acquired Al Horford, they became an instant favorite to challenge Cleveland Cavaliers in the East. But with the way they are right now, the Celtics are still doom to failure if they will not land another All-Star caliber player.

Griffin is still a big time player in the NBA. Despite playing only 35 games last season due to injuries, he averages an impressive 21.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 33.4 minutes.

Griffin will become a free agent at the conclusion of this season. Trading him will be practical for the Clippers and get some assets in return rather than lose him in free agency. Unless of course, the Clippers is confident that Griffin will re-sign with them.

But if Griffin will be traded to the Boston Celtics, they might dethrone the Cleveland Cavaliers in their two-year reign as East champs. Teaming up with Horford in the post and having Isaiah Thomas running the point guard position, the Celtics might beat the Cavs.
