Why did Luke Skywalker hiding in an island? Is Han Solo really dead? Of course, one topic, which will always be present is Han Solo's role in the Star Wars: Episode 8.

Yeah, all those who saw the Star Wars: Episode 7 "The Force Awakens" can all say that he is as good as gone. Besides, who can survive that strike? 

But that fact does not stop Star Wars die-hards to wish and hope that their favorite character will make a surprise comeback. As all Star Wars movies, avid fans are hoping that there will be some plot twist where Han Solo turn out to be alive.

Very well, Princess Leia's estranged husband can still appear in Star Wars: Episode 8. But the most probable scenarios are through dream sequences and flashbacks.

Surprisingly, Han Solo's death in Star Wars: Episode 7 "The Force Awakens" has been officially confirmed by Princess Leia Organa herself. Carrie Fisher, veteran actress who plays Princess Leia, has dropped a huge spoiler during her interview at the Star Wars Celebration Europe.

The panel host, Warwick Davis, asked Fisher if she knows Leia's back story between the timeline of "Return of the Jedi" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."

Fisher then answered as if she has been asked about the timeline between "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and "Star Wars: Episode 8."

"Han's funeral...", Carrie Fisher answered but then quickly changed the subject about how her relationship with Han Solo.

It looks like Star Wars: Episode 8 will start with a hero's funeral for Han Solo. And this may be the confirmation, which will break the hearts of Star Wars fans hoping of a Han Solo comeback in "Star Wars: Episode 8."

Star Wars: Episode 8 will hit cinemas on December 15, 2017.
