Samsung Gear S3 may be Samsung's last hope in recovering fast from the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. And looking at the Samsung Gear S3 specs, it looks like it really is.

The Gear S3 is a water-resistant classic-looking smartwatch, which can also function like a GPS, speedometer, altimeter, heart rate sensor and barometer. The Samsung Gear S3 specs also include a connection to WiFi and Bluetooth.

Samsung Gear S3's two designs, the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic, are intricately-made, both inside and outside. The Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic each has a 1.3 inch 360 x 360 Super AMOLED round display and Gorilla Glass SR+ with a Rotating Bezel.

The Rotating Bezel can read messages, set timers, snooze an alarm, adjust volumes, answer or cancel calls. It can also zoom and scroll to any app.

The Samsung Gear S3 specs include dual-core 1.0 GHz processor with 768 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. Samsung Gear S3's 380 mAh battery can even survive 3 to 4 days of use.

Both Samsung's smartwatches also run on OS 9 Tizen (2.3.2), which has access to more than 10,000 apps in the Tizen Store.

Above all of these exciting features, Samsung may have knowingly left out one more. SamMobile reports that the Samsung Gear S3 specs now includes a control for Gear VR. Samsung is already developing an app for both smartwatches to easily control VR experiences.

Both Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic have already been unveiled by Samsung but are not yet available in the Samsung Store. However, pre-order is now available in Mobile Fun UK. Samsung Gear S3 price is £349 ($400-$450).

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Samsung Gear S3 Classic will be ready to ship around late October or early November. Official Samsung Gear S3 release date is yet to be announced.
