Samsung Gear S3 is a timeless-looking watch, which can function like a smartphone.
The South Korean tech giant's next smartwatch is available in two designs, the Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic.
Gear S3 Frontier and Classic are both beautifully-made, with almost the same specifications and internal hardware.
Samsung Gear S3 Frontier has a matt black stainless steel body for a more active lifestyle. While the Samsung Gear S3 Classic has a polished stainless steel for a more sophisticated-looking smartwatch.
Although, there are some who are arguing that the Gear S3's design and size is more suited for men.
Fortunately, the S3's look can easily be changed. Samsung's smartwatch fits with any 22 mm watch band. Users can easily change the Gear S3's look by replacing the watch band every now and then.
The Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Classic are both equipped with 1.3 inch 360 x 360 Super AMOLED round display and Gorilla Glass SR+.
The Samsung Gear S3, like its predecessor, also has a Rotating Bezel. But, the Rotating Bezel's capabilities are drastically improved in Gear S3.
Now, the Rotating Bezel can answer (or cancel) calls, snooze an alarm, set timers, adjust volumes, read messages, and zoom, scroll and navigate to any app.
The Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Classic can also both be connected to WiFi and Bluetooth. But the Frontier can be installed with a SIM, which is LTE-capable.
The Gear S3 (both designs) also has GPS, speedometer, altimeter, heart rate sensor and barometer. The device is also IP 68 certified, which means that it is water resistant.
When it comes to internal specifications, Samsung Gear S3 is not trailing behind competitors. The 380 mAh battery of the Samsung Gear S3 is very reliable. The device can survive 3 to 4 days of use.
The Samsung Gear S3 run on OS 9 Tizen (2.3.2), dual-core 1.0 GHz processor with 768 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage.
The Tizen OS of the Gear S3 is an improved version of the Gear S2's. OS 9 Tizen (2.3.2) has access to more than 10,000 apps in the Tizen Store.
Though it is not yet available in Samsung Store, Mobile Fun UK already has a tag price for the smartwatch. Samsung Gear S3 price is £349 ($400-$450).
Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and Samsung Gear S3 Classic will be available for shipping by late October or early November.
