"Bates Motel" Season 5 will feature Norman trying to cope with his mother's untimely death. This will eventually lead him to become a psycho.

The Christian Post reported that the death of Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) will cause a massive impact on Norman Bates' (Freddie Highmore) life in "Bates Motel" Season 5. His obsession over her death propels him to becoming a true blue psycho that connects the television series' plot with the 1960 Alfred Hitchcock film, "Psycho".

While Norman still struggles to continue to live his life, he still tries to talk to his mother from time to time for he still can't let her go.

The tragic end of "Bates Motel" Season 4 left viewers bawling their eyes out when killed off his mother, unknowingly, primarily because of his mental condition in the season finale of the fourth season of Bates Motel.

Norman's mental state will turn from bad to even worse in the "Bates Motel" Season 5. The show's executive producers Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin, firmly believe that the upcoming season will cap off the entire series as they say that they have a "specific" and "beautiful" ending in mind, Pop Sugar has reported.

According to Gamen Guide, it was announced in the San Diego Comic-Con that the multi-awarded singer-songwriter, Rihanna, is set to play the role of "Marion Crane," one of the infamous victims of Norman Bates, in the final season.
