"Bates Motel" Season 5 will still see the presence of Norma Bates even though she's already dead. Aside from that, singers and couple Rihanna and Drake will reportedly be joining the cast.

Lead actress Vera Farmiga, who plays the role of Norma Bates, will still be a part of "Bates Motel" Season 5 despite her untimely and tragic death.

According to Christian Post, Norman Bates' (Freddie Highmore) mother will remain alive through his imagination, making him completely psychotic.

Norman will still be talking to his mother's corpse as he deals with her absence and struggles to move on. Norma's bizarre presence and appearances will urge his son to kill other people.

It has been featured last season that Norman unintentionally killed his mother due to his psychotic condition.

Other than that, pop star Rihanna has officially joined the cast of "Bates Motel" Season 5. Game N Guide has reported that the 28-year old Barbadian multi-awarded singer and songwriter will be playing the role of Marion Crane.

Marion who happens to be the infamous victim of Norman Bates will play a significant role as she will connect the storyline of "Bates Motel" to the iconic Alfred Hitchcock 1960 horror movie "Psycho".

The "Where Have You Been" singer's role has been confirmed by the cast and crew during the San Diego Comic-Con. Marion Crane will debut when the series premieres next year.

In addition, A&E Network is currently on the lookout for a hunky actor to play as Marion Crane's boyfriend. That said, Rihanna's beau Drake has been tagged to play the role, International Business Times reports.
