NBA Trade rumors are entertaining

Let's admit it guys. NBA trade rumors are interesting topics around the NBA. It's quite entertaining to think of possibilities. Although most NBA trade rumors are impossible to happen, there are quite a number of them that might become a reality.

The signing of Kevin Durant to the Golden State Warriors last offseason is just a rumor before it became a reality. This proves that although most trade rumors may not happen in reality, they are few rumors that might be possible to happen.

In this article, let's talk about teams that might need to trade this 2016-2017 NBA season.

According to Andrew Lynch of Fox Sports, the 5 teams that we'd like to see making a trade as soon as possible are the Philadephia 76ers, New York Knicks, Sacramento Kings, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.

Let's take a look at these five teams and examine one-by-one. To make it more exciting, let's arrange them in alphabetical order. Let's start with the Chicago Bulls.

1. Chicago Bulls

According to Andrew Lynch, trading Jimmy Butler would be the right move. Because the Bulls are bound for failure this season and it's time for rebuilding mode.

But I still think that with the addition of Rajon Rondo and Dwyane Wade, the Bulls can still make a deep playoff run this season. Rajon Rondo is still a great point guard. Dwyane Wade can still be a good contributor in offense and his championship experiences with the Miami Heat can help a lot in motivating his teammates.

Jimmy Bulter will still be a the team's star player. As a two-way player, he could still carry this Bulls team to the playoffs. Although challenging NBA Champs Cleveland Cavaliers is still far-fetched.

2. Los Angeles Lakers

It is obvious for the Lakers to trade Nick Young. But aside from him, trading Julius Randle would be ideal for them. According to Lynch, by trading Julius Randle, the Lakers can move Larry Nance Jr. into the starting line-up.

I agree with Lynch on this one. I think that the Lakers have brighter future with Nance. Since the Lakers are in a rebuilding mode, developing young talents would be the top priority. If D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. would maximize their potential, the Lakers might be back into the playoffs 2-3 year from now.

3. New York Knicks

In Lynch's article, he suggests that trading Derrick Rose is the right move for the New York Knicks. Trading Rose would mean that Brandon Jennings will be starting. And this would make the team better.

But in my own opinion, Derrick Rose is still a good player. Although controveries are distracting him right now because of the civil rape case that he is facing, he can still make an impact on the basketball court.

I think the backcourt tandem of Jennings and Rose will work. With Jennings taking the point guard position while Rose will be at shooting guard.

4. Philadephia 76ers

Now that Joel Embiid is healthy, the Sixers frontcourt is already loaded. With Nerlens Noel, Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor all capable of a starting job position, one should be traded. And Lynch said that of those 3, Jahlil Okafor should be traded.

I agree with Lynch on this. Joel Embiid is the one that is an obvious choice. It all comes down to choosing between Okafor and Noel. And out of those two, I think Noel is much more fit to tandem with Embiid on the low post. Noel is more mature and versatile player compared to Okafor.

The Sixers is also in rebuilding mode. This season, they might improved a little bit in terms of total wins. And there's no indication that they will reach the NBA postseason this year. But a Noel-Embiid tandem on the frontcourt is still the best choice for the Sixers.

5. Sacramento Kings

Demarcus Cousins is a very talented and versatile big man. In his 6 years with the Kings, he average 20.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 415 NBA games. He became a two-time All-Star and two-time All NBA Second Team, per wikipedia

As gifted as he is on the basketball floor, he still haven't experience playing in the NBA Playoffs. And there's no indication that the Kings will make the playoffs soon.

The Kings should trade Cousins to a playoff contender so that Boogie's talent will not be wasted.
