It was rumored around the NBA that the Bulls are planning to go on a rebuilding mode and trade their star player Jimmy Butler. And the Celtics might be Butler's next destination if he will be traded.

According to Yibada, the Boston Celtics is interested to trade for Butler. The Celtics is rumored to be offering defensive specialist guard Avery Bradley, Amir Johnson and two first-round draft picks to acquire Butler.

Jimmy Butler was selected as the 30th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls. He average 13.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals in 323 games. Last season with the Bulls, he average career-highs in points and assists with 20.9 points and 4.8 assists, per wikipedia.

Butler played limited minutes during his rookie season. But when Luol Deng suffered an injury, Butler minutes went up and produced well. From then on, he become a regular player in the Bulls rotation. And soon enough, he became the Bulls' star player. In his 5 years with the Chicago Bulls, he became a 2-time All-Star, 3-time NBA All-Defensive Second Team and 2015 NBA Most Improved Player.

If Butler would be traded for Avery Bradley and Amir Johnson, the Boston Celtics will lose 2 of their starters. But by getting Butler, the Celtics will increase their chance to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Celtics are already a good team last season. They finished the 2015-2016 NBA season with a record of 48-34, enough for 5th in the Eastern Conference. Although the Celtics lost in the first round of the playoffs last season, they were still considered one of the best teams in the East.

But with the signing of Al Horford last offseason, the Celtics instantly became one of the possible teams to dethrone the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference. If the trade to acquire Jimmy Butler will push through, can the Celtics snatch the Eastern Conference title that the Cavs is holding on for 2 years in a row?

According to Inquisitr, this is a favorable deal for the Celtics. But not for the Bulls. With the signing of Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo last offseason, it is unlikely for the Bulls to give away Butler and went on to a rebuilding mode. Because with the trio of Butler, Rondo and Wade, the Bulls will most likely have a deep playoff run.

This trade is impossible to take place.
