The LG G3, which launched in the May 2014 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, is now rumoured to get an update of latest Google OS, the Android 7.0 Nougat.

LG G3 started with the inbuilt Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It was updated to Marshmallow in 2016 and Lollipop last year. Smartphone also got several ROMs.

LG G3 users are already grateful for Android 6.0 Marshmallow update on their phone. And now it's getting Android 7.0 Nougat, which seems to be special.

According to PhoneArena, a Geekbench benchmark test dated 5 October reveals that LG's G3 smartphone is being tested with Android 7.0. on board. As far as the Geekbench test is concerned, the single-core score was about 929 with a multi-core score got 2977. This test indicates that LG is planning to give the chunky Nougat version of Android to its customers.

LG hasn't made any formal disclosure yet. However, a Geekbench benchmark test gives the hint that the 2014 flagship from LG is going to get Nougat. This is all happening when LG fans are desperately waiting for the release of the LG G6, reports AndroidCommunity.

LG has set up a good example to by enabling the G3 phone to keep updating with the times. 

LG's G3 is powered by Qualcomm 2.46 GHz quad-core processors. Smartphone also has 4GB RAM and a motherboard model MSM8974.

LG G3 was one of the most popular phones back then in year 2014. It has a 5.5-inch display with 1440x2560 resolutions featuring excellent 538 ppi pixel density. Based on reviews from users, its display beats the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S5.

Though it has such amazing features and going to get Andriod Nougat then also, in market, G3 did not make the headlines in a while, largely because of the strong popularity of the G4 and G5 models.
