D'Angelo Russell is one of the regulars in NBA trade rumors this offseason. Earlier reports have linked him to be traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. And just recently, he was also involved in a three-team trade deal with the Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Pelicans. However, all of these rumors never happen and just disappeared.

With all these happening, the 20-year-old sophomore guard never lost his focus and its looks like he's never been affected with those buzzes. He continues to work hard and focus his attention in the training camp. But another rumor haunts him now and it's not about a trade deal. It's about his "new" playing style.

According to Silver Screen and Roll, Russell has recently seen doing a "Stephen Curry" move during their training camp and was uploaded in his Twitter account. It's like mimicking Curry in a new way as stated in the report. It is obvious that Russell still got a long way to reach Curry's level but he is still young and has many years ahead of him.

The report also said that Russell said in an interview that he saw a "great resemblance" to himself and Curry. He further describes the similarity between him and Curry on ball handling skills, shot selection and work ethics of the current NBA MVP. He also quotes saying that he would like to learn how to play like Curry from new head coach Luke Walton.

It is known to all that the Lakers hired former Warriors assistant coach Luke Walton last April 29 while the 2016 NBA Playoffs is still ongoing. Walton played in the NBA for 11 seasons and 9 of those is for the Lakers franchise. He won two championships with them together with Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.

On the separate report of Sportsrageous, when the Lakers hired Walton, rumors are already spreading that he will copy the system that Steve Kerr have implemented with the Golden State Warriors. And it looks like Russell's recent "moves" validate what been being said on those rumors.

However, during the Lakers' first game of the preseason the game plan, they've shown looks different to what the Warriors are playing as per stated in the report. But Russell and the team believe that they will learn from their mistake and be a better team along the way.
