How was the earth born? The Bible has its ideologis on that, and science has defused many of them.

How will the earth end? The Bible predicts that an asteroid will be the killer - and NASA agrees.

Science forecasts that the end of the world is in the hands of a giant asteroid that will smash into the Earth, and churn up huge earthquakes and tidal waves that will kill millions.

A similar prediction has been made by Revelations 8:8. It says: "The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood."

It also described that the sun is likely to get "blotted out" for three days.

Hence, it is just a matter of time before the Earth gets hit by a huge asteroid. This will lead to "millions of death if not the end of the world itself."

The problem was tracked by the U.S. space agency, which poured millions of dollars to discover the countless asteroids flying near the planet. Experts say that while the Earth tends to get assaulted daily by 100 tons of small meteorites, a space rock, massive killer asteroid, can attack the Earth once in a million years.

In the book, "The End of the Age," 700 Club Host and CBN founder Pat Robertson gives a few insights into whatever has been described in the Bible.

"There isn't anything that will cause the seas to roil, that will, you know, cause the skies to darken, the moon and the sun not to give their light, the nations terrified on Earth of what's happening. There isn't anything that's going to do that," Robertson said.

"We're big enough to draw some of them in. And as somebody said, it's 'blind luck.' Well, it's the mercy of the Lord. But if that mercy ever got lifted, whew. That's what Jesus himself said!" he advised. "So, hey, just get ready. Get right. And stay right with the Lord."

In a list of various asteroids that have approached us, here are a few:

A huge asteroid, about 1.5 miles long, made of rock and metal, approached the Earth closely on June 10, 2016, said NASA.

Another monster called 1997 XF11 might come back in just 12 years, in October 2028 to be exact. It may lead to extinction - of our planet!

A killer called 2004 BO41 whizzed past Earth at 7.3 million miles on Sept. 7.

A 61-metre-long asteroid just brushed past the Earth at 31,000 mph on Sept. 17.

A space rock exploded over Siberia and flattened over 80 million trees, which sent Russia into a spin.

A smaller meteor, about 19 metres long, exploded over Chelyabinsk in Russia. It flattened buildings and injured 1,000.
