"Grimm" has been a regular Friday night routine for fans since the show started airing. NBC hit TV show does not fail to surprise fans with plot and character twists every season.

This is the very reason why it came as a surprise when NBC announced that "Grimm" Season 6 Episodes will be reduced from the regular 22 to just 13 episodes. Furthermore, the hit TV series will be cancelled after Season 6.

"Grimm" Season 6 air date is on Jan. 6, 2017. Co-creator of the show, David Greenwalt, divulged that the last season of the show will tackle the mysterious stick's magical and disturbing powers.

According to Greenwalt, "That stick unlocks things that should have never been unlocked" and that there is a very compelling reason why it was buried in the first place.

As per the show's cancellation, "Grimm" fans are not giving up just yet.

Various fans are launching different Grimm petitions in change.org that all aim for the TV series to have an extended its shelf life. However, NBC, Netflix and TNT have not yet responded to any of these petitions.

The petition which is garnering the highest number of supporters (6,520 as of this posting) was started by Rebekka Hay from United Kingdom. The petition is for Netflix to continue the production and showing of the show after NBC will let it go at Season 6.

Other petitions asked TNT to continue production while persuading NBC to keep the awesome show running.

Even though things are looking more uncertain, fans still believe that "Grimm" is still worthy of more seasons and the TV series has a great audience base. Who knows, maybe one of these days, NBC, Netflix or TNT may finally be persuaded and agree to extend the show.
