The premiere date for the political drama, "Scandal" Season 6 is far away but fans are already eager to know about the show and what to expect in the next season. Well, speculations suggest that the upcoming season will be a 'bloodbath' season as Olivia will stand against Cyrus. It is rumored that Scott Foley might not be reprising his role as Jake Ballard.

The sixth season of "Scandal" will open on the Election Day and the Americans will be making a choice of their next leader, Game & Guide reported. The people will be choosing between Mellie Grant (played by Bellamy Young) as the Republican nominee and Frankie (played by Ricardo Chavira) as the Democrats nominee.  And, for the presidential slot, the people will choose between Jake Ballard and Cyrus (played by Jeff Perry).

In earlier reports, Young had made the revelation that once her character, Mellie comes to know about Cyrus' candidacy, she will make a flip as she knows that Cyrus is a monster, capable of doing a lot of bad stuff. Moreover, he has full knowledge about Mellie's haunting past and this simply shatters Mellie.

It is true that Cyrus has an upper hand, but Olivia will also not let her candidate, Millie become a joke and come out as a loser. She has her own plan and aims to defeat Cyrus in his own game, Ecumenical News reports.

"Scandal" Season 6 will have a lot of challenges that Millie will have to overcome to see Cyrus fall and Olivia will be putting in the most effort to ensure that Cyrus loses the elections. She will have Olivia's gameplan to bring Cyrus down.

Rumors about Scott Foley not reprising his role are also doing the rounds, but no official announce from ABC has been made in this regard.

The upcoming Season 6 of "Scandal" is expected to premiere in 2017, midseason, only on ABC.
