On Thursday, Samsung has finally announced that the Galaxy Note 7 replacement will be available in the U.S. retail stores starting Sept. 21. Now Note 7 owners aren't going to have to wait a little longer after the US Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall for the product.

The commission mentioned, "Consumers should immediately stop using and power down the recalled Galaxy Note 7 devices." Consumers have been told to either get a replacement or refund from where they purchased their devices. They were also told to contact the sellers immediately.

In an official statement released by Samsung, they confirmed that the new Galaxy Note 7 replacement units will arrive in the U.S., which basically means that consumers can start receiving the new gadget next week.

Previously, it has been announced for the consumers to stop using the product after reports of battery overheating and even exploding, for some cases. Samsung have been reported to be struggling since it lost a huge amount of market value and users have been told not to use the device on the subway and airplanes.

Tim Baxter, president of Samsung Electronics America, said a statement, "Consumer safety is always our highest priority. Our collaboration with the CPSC to fast-track a voluntary recall in the US addresses safety concerns by ensuring we reach Note 7 owners quickly to exchange their devices."

Moreover, the company announced that an exchange program is being made in the U.S. where consumers are given three choices if they have purchased the device before Sept. 15.

The options were: Consumers can exchange their current Note7 for a new Note7 device when available at their point of purchase or retailer; Exchange their current Note7, and any Note7 specific accessories, for a Galaxy S7 or S7 edge with a refund of the price difference between the products, and a refund can be obtained at your point of purchase.
