After NBC announced that "Grimm" series will end on its fifth season, fans were in complete dismay. However, the series is back with Season 6 which will be aired in January 2017.

The supernatural criminal mystery series first aired in 2011 with inconsistent ratings, which prompted the producers to reduce its season episodes in 2015 to six.

However, the NBC management defied all the worrywarts and released an official announcement that the series will again hit the airwaves starting Jan. 6.

"Grimm" Season 5 ended with Juliette Silverton peeping through the psyche of Eve when she was rescued by Nick from death with the Crucifixion stick. Further, Nick was also protected by the crucifixion stick after Black Claw shot him several times.

As the release date was finally confirmed, NBC also provided a sneak peek of "Grimm" Season 6 with Nick finally determined to disclose and show the two sides of him.

In addition, David Greenwalt, Grimm's executive producer shared to TVLine that the stick can unlock things that must never be unlocked.

These things and revelations just excite the fans to anticipate for more spiteful events in the series plot.

Even if the ratings are not that good in the previous episodes, it's not anymore surprising that NBC would desire to bring Grimm back for maybe one more year. The show airs every Friday night.

More than this, NBC also took the opportunity to brag that rich people love to watch the show and it really does well for key demographic of group of viewers who make $100, 000 annually.
