The Sept. 7 event of Apple paved way for the tech giant to unveil Apple Watch Series 2. The company also confirmed that its pre-order start date will on Sept. 9 alongside iPhone 7.

Tech Radar reported that the unveiling of Apple Watch Series 2 at the company's iPhone 7 launch event left a significant impact to the public in attendance.

This is because Apple highlighted the revisions made on the product that made it to become the smartwatch that the public have always wanted.

The same report also hinted that those who want to pre-order the Apple Watch Series 2 will find a lot of new features on the device particularly the built-in GPS chip that allows more advanced tracking.

The feature enables the smartwatch to record the pace, precise distance and speed of the outdoor workout like cycling, running and walking without the need to use an iPhone.

Its GPS chip made use of Wi-Fi and satellite data that are locally stored to immediately identify and provide the exact location.

Apple revealed that the Apple Watch Series 2 is water resistant.

With this, the smartwatch is viewed as an ideal device for swimmers, surfers and pool players. The report also revealed that the watch can count laps, measure active calorie burn and track the average lap pace of its user.

Given these features, it is worth noting that the price of the Apple Watch Series 2 is more expensive compared to the first version at $369.

With a $369 starting price, a lot of tech experts are convinced that the Apple Watch Series 2 will be a hard-to-sell product for buyers who are not fitness die-hard or GPS enthusiasts.

Fortunately, potential buyers with limited budgets can still purchase the Apple Watch since the tech giant will continue selling the improved version of the Series 1 equipped with a faster processor and it will cost around $269.
