Google CEO Sundar Pichai's account was hacked by a three-member team that calls itself OurMine. The team had earlier claimed it hacked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's Twitter.

Reporting the hack, The Verge said the team posted messages to Pichai's Quora account which were then auto-tweeted. In the messages, the team stated it was testing Pichai's security and suggested he get in touch with them to fix issues. It is not known if Pichai paid heed to the team's advice but a few hours later, those messages were deleted.

OurMine hacked Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's Pinterest and Twitter accounts while claiming it also had hacked his Instagarm. However, the team could not get past Facebook's defense and Zuckerberg's Instagram remained uncompromised.

Members of OurMine reportedly said they have changed tact. The group used to siphon off private information after hacking but now says they offer security services. The team leaves messages claiming there are security issues and that they can be contacted for their paid services. The team says it can scan a website, social media accounts and other presence on the web for security issues.

Not everybody however is convinced about the team's hacking prowess. Security experts believe the team got its hand on a password database sold on the dark web to exploit celebrities. This was evident when the team hacked Zuckerberg; it explained that Facebook CEO's LinkedIn password was also that of his Twitter and Pinterest accounts, granting them access to these accounts.

The team insists it uses exploits like passwords being saved in browsers and loopholes in social media services to gain access.
