On the same day it was announced that her hit ABC series “Nashville” was canceled by the network, Hayden Panettiere revealed she is getting treatment for the second time in her ongoing battle with postpartum depression.

The actress and her boxer fiancé Wladimir Klitschko welcomed daughter Kaya Evdokia Dec. 9, 2014. Ten months later she “voluntarily” entered a treatment center to help her cope with the disease.

Now, the 26-year-old has admitted she is still feeling the symptoms and is receiving a different kind of treatment.

“The postpartum depression I have been experiencing has impacted every aspect of my life,” she tweeted yesterday. “Rather than stay stuck due to unhealthy coping mechanisms I have chosen to take time to reflect holistically on my health and life. Wish me luck!”

Sources said Panettiere is being treated in Utah.

The actress’ character on “Nashville,” Juliette Barnes, also suffered postpartum depression. In a September 2015 “Live! with Kelly and Michael” interview, Panettiere confessed to having the same feelings.

“I can very much relate. It’s something a lot of women experience,” she said. “When [you’re told] about postpartum depression, you think it’s ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure or hurt my child’ - I’ve never, ever had those feelings. Some women do…. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.”

She added: “There’s a lot of misunderstanding — there’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true, that it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They brush it off. It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support.”

Panettiere, who has been acting since she was a child, had another major blow delivered to her yesterday when ABC announced the cancellation of her TV series “Nashville” after four seasons. The country music drama’s series finale is set to air May 25.
