Kristen Bell and her husband Dax Shepard don't let their two daughters watch a lot of TV and movies, but decided to bend the rules a little when their 3-year-old Lincoln fell sick one day. So what better way to cheer her up than to pop in the DVD of "Frozen," which features Bell as the voice of Princess Anna?

Turns out, Lincoln was not impressed. No more than 15 minutes into the movie, the sick little girl asked her mother to turn it off and Bell realized her own daughter must be the only child in the world that doesn't love the beloved Disney animated feature.

"[Lincoln] got sick last month and Dax had said, 'Should we put on a movie?' Because when they're sick you want them to be comforted and cuddle," the 35-year-old actress told Jimmy Kimmel. "He said, 'Should we blow her mind and put on 'Frozen?'"

It certainly blew her mind, but not in a good way. She watched in fear as Bell snapped a photo of her daughter.

"About 15 minutes in she said, 'Mommy, I think you should turn this off. Yeah, she didn't like it," Bell said.

Kimmel cracked, "I guess it makes sense. No one wants to hear their mother sing."

"Frozen" premiered in November 2013 and won two Oscars for Best Animated Feature Film and Best Original Song for "Let It Go." The movie grossed more than $1.2 billion worldwide and Disney confirmed a sequel in March 2015.

Bell expects to get back in the recording studio for "Frozen 2" next month. "The story is great," she enthused about the script that is nearly finished except for a few tweaks.

"What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn't just put something out to put it out. That's why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one," the "Boss" star said. "Generally when you have a first successful movie you want to make a second one. It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it."

Princess Anna and her friends have not left Bell's life since she finished recording the first movie. She and her co-stars including Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad have continued to record new bits for Disney parks around the world.

"We record all the time for different parks or different parks that open overseas, we'll do a mashup for the rides. So we actually get to go in - Josh and Idina and Jonathan and I - all the time and record new bits of the music. When Epcot center opens we'll record a bunch of new music," Bell said. "So we have little bits of 'Frozen' in our life at all times, but I'm excited to get started on the new movie."

Disney has not announced an official release date for "Frozen 2." Bell stars opposite Melissa McCarthy in the new comedy, "The Boss," which opens in theaters on April 7.
