Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is other worldly in his ability to play the sport of football, but he may have a new connection with the unknown, specifically UFOs. Rodgers reportedly talked about his encounter recently on the Pete Holmes podcast "You Made It Weird."

"It was a large orange, left-to-right-moving object," Rodgers said. "Because of the overcast nature of the night and the snow, you couldn't make out-it was kind of behind the clouds we were seeing, but it was definitively large, moving from left to right. It was me, Steve [Levy], and his brother that saw it. And it goes out of sight and we look at each other and go 'What in the [expletive] was that?'"

Rodgers' otherworldly encounter may have not been the driving force behind his decision to play football, but it has surely made him a bit more aware while he is on the field. He had a couple of otherworldly moments on the football field during the 2015 season, including two Hail Mary game winning touchdowns. Now, as the Green Bay Packers get ready for the 2016 NFL season, they are going to need some more of Rodgers' magic to help them return to the playoffs.

The Packers will have several needs heading into the 2016 NFL Draft and will look to reload their roster heading into next season. One player who is most likely not returning to the Packers is wide receiver James Jones. Why the Packers don't want Jones is largely up for debate, but what is known is that they want to go with a stable of younger wide receivers as they enter a new season.

The team kept re-resigning Jones except in 2014 when he took his talents to Oakland, where he had an average season for the Oakland Raiders. Jones would go on to have the best season of any Packers wide receiver, recording 15 starts, 50 receptions and 890 receiving yards while averaging 17.8 yards per catch and scoring eight touchdowns. He was also one of Rodgers' favorite targets, so it is still mystifying to see the Packers be so cavalier about letting such a good player hit free agency. It's not as mystifying as UFO's are to Rodgers, but it's still pretty weird.
