Sasha and Malia Obama have lived in the White House for most of their lives but haven't attended a State Dinner since their father was elected President in 2008. Malia, 17, and Sasha, 14, finally got the chance to attend the dinner on Thursday, March 10, and did it in style!

At the dinner, all eyes were on the two beautiful young women who got the sit at the grown-ups table at their first State Dinner, held in honor of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Malia wore a strapless cream-colored gown that was embellished with gold and silver jewels. The high-school senior swept her long wavy hair to the side to finish the glamorous look. Not to be outdone by her older sister, Sasha wore a black and maroon laced dress with a fashionable black choker. She completed her edgy look with a braided up-do.

At the dinner, Malia was nestled in-between two famous Canadians, former "Grey's Anatomy" star Sandra Oh and "Saturday Night Live" creator Lorne Michaels. The two young women fit in easily with the glamorous event and even their father couldn't ignore how much they had grown in the years since they first walked into The White House.

"When I first elected to this office, Malia was just 10 and Sasha was 7. And they grow up too fast," the president said during his opening remarks at the First State Dinner. "Now Malia is going off to college...And I'm starting to choke up."

Even the honoree of the night, Prime Minister Trudeau gave praise to Sasha and Malia for how well they have handled their time in the spotlight as First Daughter's.

"I admire you very much, both of you, for your extraordinary strength and your grace, through what is a remarkable childhood and young adulthood that will give you extraordinary strength and wisdom beyond your years for the rest of your life," he said during his speech. "The one thing that you have received from your extraordinary parents is the tools to be able to handle the challenges and the opportunities in front of you."

As for Sasha and Malia's fashionable mother, Michelle Obama, the First Lady decided to wear a blue strapless gown that was made by one of her go-to designers, Taiwanese-Canadian designer Jason Wu. The First State Dinner was also attended by Mike Meyers, Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively.
