While the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel will take center stage in this month's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice," moviegoers are especially excited to see the big screen debut of Wonder Woman. Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill will go toe-to-toe as their superhero counterparts, but Gal Gadot could emerge as the true star of the highly anticipated superhero throw down.

Gadot's super heroine will be introduced into Warner Bros.' DC Extended Universe in "Dawn of Justice" before receiving her own solo film in 2017. This is a source of pride for WB as they will beat rival marvel to the punch with the first female-led superhero blockbuster ("Captain Marvel" is scheduled for 2018). But for Gadot, she's just excited to bring this great character to life.

"Most of the movies, the men are in charge, the men are the most powerful ones," Gadot said. "You've had Superman and Batman and everyone, but Wonder Woman was never there."

Gadot is particularly excited that her 4-year-old daughter will now have a strong female she can look up to, aside from her mother that is.

"I'm so happy when she grows up she's going to see a female figure she can be inspired by."

Gadot is not alone in her enthusiasm for the character or her excitement for the big screen introduction. DC Comics Chief Creative Officer and DCEU adviser Geoff Johns is also anxious to see the Amazonian warrior finally receive the blockbuster adaptation that she deserves. According to Johns, Wonder Woman is one tough badass in the movie.

"I love when she's hit by Doomsday, and she turns around and smiles, like she hasn't been in a fight like this in a long, long time," Johns, who also serves as a producer on the film, said. "She clearly...she missed it."

Since the superhero movie boom started in the early 2000s there has been a call for more diversity among the characters, especially more super powered females. "Wonder Woman" standalone producer Deborah Snyder can't believe it has taken this long to get the character in a feature film.

"I can't get over the fact that she's going to be 75 years old, and this is the first time she's gracing the silver screen," Snyder said. "I think all these things - truth and love and wanting peace and all the things that she represents - is something that we all look up to and would want."

Wonder Woman won't be the only new character fans get to meet when "Dawn of Justice" finally arrives. The film will also feature some form of introductions for Ezra Miller's Flash, Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Ray Fisher's Cyborg.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be released on March 25.
