From the Cronut to the Everything Doughnut, we've seen doughnuts become one of the most popular foodie dessert trends over the past year, and with doughnut shops popping up all over the world, it was only a matter of time before the next unique doughnut item started flooding our Instagram feed.

While ice cream is good enough on its own, European doughnut shops are now serving the classic dessert in cinnamon-coated doughnut cones and then stuffing them with other delicious treats like Nutella, whipped cream and fruit - and the mash-up results are drool-worthy!

The doughnut cone craze, which started at the Good Food Coffee and Bakery in Prague, is a modern take on a Trdelnik, which is a Slovakian pastry that involves grilled dough, walnuts and a lot of sugar. The café is calling the creation Chimney Cakes and, thanks to Instagram, they've already become the latest food porn people are willing to travel all the way to Prague to get their hands on.

While the creation originated at the Good Food Coffee and Bakery, several street vendors in Europe are now serving the tasty treat, but most people still flock to Prague to grab the real thing.

The cone is an alternative to the typical waffle cone and is always made up of fried dough coated in cinnamon sugar, but hungry customers have the option of filling it with ice cream or whipped cream and strawberries. The hollow, cylindrical pastry can also be lined with Nutella, which is highly suggested as it oozes out the side, or berry compote. Some people are ordering the doughnut cone lined with Nutella on its own as it's just that tasty and mouthwatering, but for the full indulgence experience, you should absolutely fill it to the brim with lots of ice cream. The menu options include a Chimney Original, Chimney Cream, Chimney Berries and Chimney Blizzard.

"Love the 'chimneys' they have here," one enthusiastic Yelp reviewer said. "I ordered a chimney original which is the freshly baked and turned bread that's shaped like a long bun and hallow inside with sugar and nuts on the outside. The result? An irresistibly light, slightly sweet bread that was delicious and warm...The texture has a little crunch on the outside but the inside is so thin, light and fluffy! Tastes so good!"
