Homewrecking nannies contribute to many celebrity couple break ups and divorces, but rarely do you hear of a husband or boyfriend taking a proactive step to stop a possible affair before it even begins. Meet Kyle Martino, ex-soccer player turned Premier League analyst for NBC Sports, who fired his daughter's nanny when she got a little too personal.

Martino's wife, Eva Amurri Martino (daughter of actress Susan Sarandon) revealed in her blog that her husband fired their nanny when she "mistakenly" sent a scandalous text to Kyle about him and then he saw her in his bedroom at a time when she knew Eva would not be home.

The text message read:

"OMG. Girl, did I mention to you how hot and sex my Boss is. I would love to f-k his brains out ha haah. Too bad he seems not to like thick Latin women with lots to hold on to LOL."

Kyle's initial reaction was surprise, but he also thought she would realize her embarrassing mistake and immediately text him back apologizing. That text never came and when he spotted her peeking out of his and his wife's bedroom he knew the text she sent "was NOT a mistake," Eva wrote.

Still, Kyle had to go to a meeting and left for work, but returned home early. Before entering the house, he began turned on his phone to record the conversation he was about to have with the nanny. When confronted, she apologized for the text but Kyle paid her and sent her packing.

The nanny's termination came three weeks after the couple had to fire their previous nanny, who served the family for a year and half. Detailed in a previous blog post, Eva described the latest nanny as "smart, responsible, fun and caring" who started the day Kyle returned home to Los Angeles from Connecticut.

Unlike recent Hollywood couples torn apart by nanny affairs (i.e. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale), Eva credited the "bizarre Nanny experience" for bring her and Kyle "even closer (emotionally and geographically) than we would have been otherwise."

"It also made me grateful for my strong relationship with my husband.  I know that this happens all the time with different results.  The rumors of this type of thing are all over the tabloids all the time," she wrote.

The Martino family plans to spend the next few months together on the East Coast and leaning on their friends and families to help with childcare until they can find a more trustworthy and responsible replacement.
