Ben Affleck and Jennifer Gender definitely have an awkward living situation. Six months after calling it quits, the couple are still living on the same sprawling estate in Los Angeles while they sort out the terms of their divorce, People reported. The 43-year-old "Gone Girl" star is living in the couple's guest house while Garner sleeps in the main house along with their kids - Violet, 10, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.

Despite their efforts to remain cordial for the sake of their children, the couple are finding their living situation "strange" and "annoying." However, Affleck and Garner's commitment to co-parenting forces them to stay together despite their split.

The two even put their differences aside and spent Thanksgiving and Christmas together as a family. For Christmas, they took the kids to the Yellowstone Club, according to Us Weekly.

Affleck reportedly has no plans to move anytime soon.

"It's obvious many times that they both find it annoying to deal with each other," an insider told the publication. "Understandably so. It's a strange situation to live together and yet be separated."

The source added, "They both seem to find the situation frustrating, but for now, at least, they also seem to think it's best. They are doing what is working for the kids"

In June, the former lovebirds, who wed in 2005, announced they were ending their 10-year marriage. Rumors circulated that the "Batman" star's alleged affair with former nanny Christine Ouzounian led to the breakup.

The duo "are almost never together alone without the kids. "They don't hang out. It's a cordial relationship," an insider told Us Weekly. Another source explained that their living situation is mainly for the children and added that the "kids' lives have not changed much. Things still feel pretty normal to them."

Garner reportedly also keeps Affleck "in the loop" on their schedules and what's going on, a second insider told Us Weekly. "She always invites him to come along. Ben and Jen have made a big push to let the kids know that they will always be a family."

Despite reports that Affleck and Garner were seeking marriage counseling, a source assured that the two have no plans to reconcile and are certainly going to divorce.

"Jen just shrugs her shoulders and says, 'He can do whatever he wants!'" a source said about the actress' new outlook on life. "She feels relieved that she no longer has to worry about what he is doing. All she asks is that he is a good father."
