Since The Beatles' 1969 breakup, fans have long speculated that the late John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono was the main reason behind the iconic band's split. Now, on the heels of the release of her fifth remix album "Yes, I'm A Witch Too," the artist and activist is setting the record straight, Spin reported.

In promotion for her new album, Ono provided answers for Us Weekly's "25 Things You Didn't Know About Me" column, and the 83-year-old shared personal, intimate details about herself like her favorite Stanley Kubrick film, why she always wears sunglasses and which Beatles album is her favorite. She addressed the rumors about her involvement in the band's breakup with her 24th answer.

"I had nothing to do with breaking up the Beatles," Ono wrote in her Us Weekly column. "And I think Paul [McCartney] is a pretty cool dude."

Former Beatle Paul McCartney, 73, spoke out about his longtime feud with Ono in a 2013 cover story for Rolling Stone and announced that he decided to let go of his grudge and move on after decades of bitterness between the two.

"I thought, 'If John loved her, there's got to be something. He's not stupid,'" McCartney told Rolling Stone. "It's like, what are you going to do? Are you going to hold a grudge you never really had?"

McCartney also spoke out and defended Ono from fans who still blamed her for the band's breakup in 2013, CNN reported.

"She certainly didn't break the group up," McCartney said in an interview with Al Jazeera English (via CNN). "I don't think you can blame her for anything."
