Brian Wilson will perform the groundbreaking Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" album in its entirety for the final time during a newly announced 70-date tour, USA Today reports.

The tour will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the 1966 release of the album.

Wilson's band for the tour will include fellow founding Beach Boy Al Jardine as well as Blondie Chaplin, who was a member of the band in the 1970s, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Times notes that Wilson performed "Pet Sounds" in full in 2000 and has cited "Rubber Soul," the Beatles' 1965 record, as a catalyst for his creation of "Pet Sounds," which took the Beach Boys into a much more experimental direction.

"It's really been a trip to sit here and think about releasing Pet Sounds 50 years ago," Wilson said in a statement, according to Rolling Stone. "I love performing this album with my band and look forward to playing it for fans all across the world."

The tour will begin March 26 in Auckland, New Zealand, and work its way through Japan and Europe before hitting the U.S. starting in June with a concert in Burlington, Vt., Rolling Stone reports. Ticket presales will start on Wednesday, Jan. 27, before general sales begin on Friday, Jan. 29, with additional dates expected to be added, the music publication continued.
