HBO whet our appetites for "Game of Thrones" with a brief teaser on Friday before releasing an all-new trailer for the sixth season this weekend. Mmm, talk about a delicious combination of appetizer and main course. What a way to start the week, are we right?

Wrong.

A teaser trailer isn't a concrete foreshadowing of what's to come. We all know the goal is just to hook our interest. But this particular trailer seems to suggest that a fan favorite character could meet his end in the very near future.

The trailer takes place in the Hall of Faces within the House of Black and White, where Arya is currently training to be a Faceless assassin. Naturally, the faces of important characters who have been lost along the way - Ned, Robb, Joffrey, Jon, etc. - are shown while creepy voiceovers remind us all of their fatal flaws. The last face to be featured, however, is Tyrion Lannister's. As you all undoubtedly remember, Tyrion is very much alive and working in the service of Daenerys Targaryen in Mereen right now, even if the Mother of Dragons is currently MIA.

Does this mean the Half Man is going to get GOT (see what we did there?) this season? It's possible. As we've learned, no one in this series is safe, even the most popular of characters. Tyrion does seem to find himself in mortal peril more often than not, and one of these days you would have to assume his luck is going to run out.

Hopefully, this teaser trailer is more of a tone setter than a harbinger of things to come. We're still not emotionally recovered from the Red Wedding, to be honest.

Season six of HBO's "Game of Thrones" will debut on April 24.
