It has been one week since Beyoncé performed her controversial new song "Formation" at the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, and since then, people have expressed outrage over the contents of the song and the performance itself where Beyoncé and her backup dancers paid tribute to the Black Panthers. Last night, "Saturday Night Live" took on the controversy and debuted a faux horror movie trailer called "The Day Beyoncé Turned Black."

"For white people, it was just another great week," a voiceover said at the beginning of the trailer. "They never saw it coming. They had no warning. Then, the day before the Super Bowl, it happened."

A montage of news clips then played announcing the release of "Formation," which said: "Beyoncé embraces her black heritage" as the song started to play in the background. The video then cut to white people all over New York City panicking over the news that Beyoncé was an African-American, just as people would do during a zombie invasion.

"Hot sauce in my bag. Swag?" a man said, confused. "What does this song mean?"

"Maybe this song isn't for us," an alarmed person said.

"But usually everything is," replied another person.

Things got more horrifying for white people in the fake trailer when they finally realized that other celebrities like Kerry Washington were black as well.

"Mom, is Taylor Swift still white?" a little girl asked in the end.
