Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will appear on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend for a cameo, ABC News reported. Larry David, who has been impersonating Sanders all season, will serve as the host.

"We'll be live in New York," Tad Devine, a senior adviser to Sanders, told CNN.

Sander's appearance on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend will mark the first time that the presidential candidate will appear on the NBC show, according to Billboard. Sander's rival in the Democratic primary, Hillary Clinton, previously appeared on "Saturday Night Live" back in October 2015 alongside cast member Kate McKinnon, who impersonates Clinton on the show.

Clinton was not the only politician running for president who made an appearance on "Saturday Night Live." GOP frontrunner Donald Trump not only appeared on the show, but he hosted an entire episode back in November and also appeared with Taran Killam and Darrell Hammond, who both impersonate him on the show.
