The nominations for the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards were officially announced on Tuesday, and Taylor Swift was nominated for a whopping eight awards, followed closely by The Weeknd with seven nominations. Adele, Drake, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Luke Bryan and Sam Smith were all nominated for multiple awards as well.
This year, the iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature 31 all new categories including "Best Tour," "Best Duo/Group of the Year," "Female Artist of the Year" and "Male Artist of the Year," according to The Wrap. The show will also feature performances from Justin Bieber and Meghan Trainor.
Both Swift's "1989" and The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" are nominated for Album of the Year, along with Adele's "25," Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" and Sheeran's "X," according to the Associated Press.
In addition to the new categories, the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature categories that fans vote on such as "Best Fan Army," "Best Lyrics" and "Best Collaboration," according to Rolling Stone.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards will air live on April 3 on TNT, TBS and truTV at 8 p.m. EST.
