A man lurking outside Taylor Swift's residence in Bel Air, Los Angeles, was taken into custody by police on Wednesday afternoon, according to Entertainment Tonight.

The "Bad Blood" singer's neighbors got "spooked" after they noticed the prowler acting suspicious and called the authorities, who arrived at the scene and apprehended the man at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"The man was detained for an investigation. He was not supposed to be in that area or near that home. He was taken for observation for an undisclosed medical condition," said authorities, according to E!.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was allegedly screaming and yelling for Swift to come outside, according to eyewitnesses. It has not been confirmed if the 26-year-old star was at home at the time of the incident.

"This is why it's irresponsible for the media to publish the addresses or recent real estate transactions of celebrities. This, or potentially worse, is the end result," Swift's spokesperson said.

This isn't the first time Swift has dealt with such an incident. In May 2013, an intruder was arrested after he swam up to the beach outside the singer's Rhode Island residence in an attempt to meet the mega-star, as HNGN previously reported.
