The last remaining couple of the three that were matched and met at the altar during the UK version of the hit reality TV series and social experiment "Married at First Sight" have called it quits. Emma Rathbone and James Ord-Hume decided to split after only 34 weeks of marriage, and they opened up about their divorce in the latest issue of Bella magazine.

"We really did want it to work. We gave it our best shot," Rathbone, 32, told Bella (via Yahoo! Style).

The couple was matched during the previous season of Channel 4's "Married at First Sight," and there were multiple factors that contributed to their mutual agreement to part ways. The biggest reason was that Rathbone and her husband Ord-Hume were not sexually attracted to each other and they weren't sure why they were matched by the show's experts, reported The Mirror. The couple filed for divorce last November.

"I told her I wasn't in love with her and I felt we needed to draw a line under things," Ord-Hume told Bella.

The two other couples that were matched during the same season of the series have also called it quits. Jason Knowles and Kate Stewart parted ways after less than two weeks of marriage, according to the Daily Mail, while Sam McDonald and Jack Finn-Kelcey never even made it to the altar.

Rathbone expressed feelings of sadness but also relief after her divorce from Ord-Hume and said she was glad the divorce happened before they were able to develop negative feelings towards each other.

"I really thought meeting the way we did meant we stood a chance, as nothing else I'd tried had," Rathbone told Bella. "We like and respect each other too much to let it get that bad."
