Playboy model Katie May, who is also known as the "Queen of Snapchat," is currently in critical condition. The social media sensation suffered a "catastrophic" stroke on Monday and has been hospitalized, her family told TMZ. She recently started complaining about neck pain and sought treatment, and it turns out the stroked was caused by a blockage in her carotid artery.

Since the stroke, there have been rumors flying around that May passed away as several people have posted their condolences on her social media platforms. As she is a model in her mid-30s, the stroke came as a shock to many, but her family has confirmed that she has not passed, even though she does remain in critical condition.

Since May has a 7-year-old daughter, Mia, the family has set up a GoFundMe page to try and raise money. "Katie's family plans on using any money raised to help pay for education, Mia's daily life and to help her dad with the costs of parenting," the site reads.

May is best known for her social media success as she has been officially named the "Queen of Snapchat" and has almost 2 million Instagram followers. As a single mother, who dropped pretty much everything to be with her daughter's father before she eventually left him, she's done a good job raising her child on her own. And couldn't be happier she landed a career in modeling.

"I was going to follow my true desire to be on the other side of the camera," she recently told Huffington Post of her decision to model. "Even though I am much older than most of the girls in the industry and really had no experience. Fortunately, that shoot went viral thanks to a feature by Arsenic Magazine. The rest is history."
