It has been confirmed that the high-octane "Fast & Furious" series will be 10-films long after Universal set release dates for the ninth and tenth installments of its highly successful franchise.

The studio announced that "Fast & Furious 9" will hit theaters on April 19, 2019 whereas "Fast & Furious 10" is slated to open on April 21, 2021, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Last month, Vin Diesel revealed that the eight installment in the series will be titled "Fast 8" and will drop on April 14, 2017, as HNGN previously reported.

The actor, who plays Dominic Toretto in the action films, also took to the image-sharing app to announce the release dates of the next trilogy of films that will bring the franchise to an end, according to Deadline.

"Straight Outta Compton's" F. Gary Gary will direct "Fast 8", which will see the return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham along with the full cast.
