Paul Walker's daughter, Meadow Walker, has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against carmaker Porsche almost two years after "The Fast and Furious" actor died in a car accident in Santa Clarita, Calif.

The actor was seated in the passenger seat of his 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when his friend Roger Rodas, who was behind the wheel, lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into a tree. Both men died in the crash, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Meadow sued the auto manufacturer claiming that the car "lacked safety features that are found on well-designed racing cars or even Porsche's least expensive road cars - features that could have prevented the accident or, at a minimum, allowed Paul Walker to survive the crash."

Meadow, 17, also states in the lawsuit that her father "survived the physical forces of the collision," and that the vehicle's design flaws led to the actor becoming trapped inside the car as it caught fire.

"It is with great reluctance that Meadow Walker has authorized the filing of this lawsuit on her own behalf and as heir to Paul Walker's estate," Jeff Milam, Meadow's lawyer, said, according to Entertainment Tonight. "She's a teenage girl who is still dealing with the tragic loss of her father. She values her privacy and won't be making any comment. We ask everyone to respect that."

"The bottom line is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car," Milam said in a statement. "It doesn't belong on the street. And we shouldn't be without Paul Walker or his friend, Roger Rodas."

Last year, Rodas' widow, Kristine Rodas, also sued Porsche claiming negligence and faulty vehicle design. Earlier this year, the company said Rodas was responsible for the car crash. "Roger Rodas's death, and all other injuries or damages claimed, were the result of Roger Rodas's own comparative fault," the company said, as HNGN previously reported.
